I am doing a 7 minute presentation in English. It’s called “The Forgotten T” I have to educate the class and “teach a lesson”. I’m going to do mine about trans* people. So I’m thinking first I need to explain sex =/= gender and orientation =/= gender, umbrella terms. Then all about trans* people. I would like to know if you think I should keep it basic transgender transsexual ftm mtf or go into detail.. (genderqueer, fluild, etc) I’m not sure if my class will be able to wrap their heads around it.
I’d like to hear some of your stories. Day to day life as a trans* person. Struggles you face, work, family, friends, surgery, hormones, positives, negatives.. ALL that kind of stuff. As a pre-everything, not out, ftm I haven’t much to talk about, so I could really use the help. I would really really appreciate some feedback.
I’ll keep you updated if you’d like.
Send me asks, message me on skype or facebook. Anything you think might help.
I just really want to educate my class, I don’t care if I fail. I just want them to know that there is more than lesbians, gays, and bisexuals. I just want them to know..
If you are my friend and you understand that left to my own devices I will forget to speak to you for weeks to months and you get that it doesn’t mean I hate you and you just need to come and talk to me instead thank you so much.
